Brave Hearts Club: Mindfulness & Movement
(Children’s Group)

Brave Hearts Club is a gentle Mindfulness-based support group, facilitated by Kelly Quarles, created for children navigating grief, loss and life changes. Through creative activities, storytelling, movement, mindfulness, and connection, children are given a safe and nurturing space to express feelings, build coping skills, and feel less alone in their experiences. This group encourages healing through compassion, emotional awareness, and a supportive community, helping children discover that even in difficult moments, they carry brave hearts within them.

Beginning August 15 and running for 6 consecutive Saturdays from 10:00 - 11:00. This is a free offering.

Our inaugural group at Sea Haven will be a special 6 week group for adults, led by Kelly Quarles, LPC/S. The group will provide a compassionate space for anyone navigating the loss of a loved one. Whether your loss is recent or long ago, you are welcome here, with open arms and a big heart. Together, we explore grief with honesty and care, offering support, shared understanding, Mindfulness and Meditation practices, and tools for healing and connection, one step at a time. Grief can feel isolating, but you do not have to carry it alone. In this space, we honor your loss, your story, and your healing process with kindness, patience and deep and meaningful respect. Kelly welcomes you warmly to this safe and supportive circle of support, wherever you may be in your process. Come to share, just to listen, or just to be.

Beginning August 15 and running for 6 consecutive Saturdays from 11:30 - 12:30 pm.

Brave Hearts Club - Tween and Teen Group

Brave Hearts Club for tweens and teens, facilitated by Kelly Quarles, offers a supportive and judgment-free space for young people navigating grief, loss, and life transitions. Blending mindfulness practices, meaningful conversation, creative expression and peer connection, this group helps teens process emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping tools in a way that feels authentic and age-appropriate. Together, participants are reminded that healing does not happen alone and that hope and connection can grow alongside grief.

The Comfort Circle: The Connection Project

This membership program brings together high school and college student mentors with younger children who are experiencing grief. In a safe, structured environment, mentors are trained to offer compassionate support through conversation, mindfulness practices, and creative activities, such as yoga and gardening, that help children process loss in emotionally healthy ways. High school and college student mentors walk alongside younger children who are grieving. Together, they facilitate healing activities designed to foster comfort, connection and emotional resilience in a supportive space. This can be facilitated in small groups or 1:1, depending on the child's needs.
